What is a Crossroad? A crossroad is the point where our past, present, and future meet; the place where each one is introduced to us as we make major decisions in our lives. Our past represents our mistakes and shortcomings that have happened. Our future introduces our blessings that are forthcoming. Our present is like the middle child, trapped in between its siblings (the past and future), wanting to examine the events that are happening right now, but still looking behind, afraid of dreaming forward. If there is any dissatisfaction as we evaluate our current circumstances, it is possible that we may begin to feel neglected and unloved because of the decisions we made in the past, rather than looking at our accomplishments or even acknowledging what we have learned from those mistakes. When we reach that point in our lives when we must decide which road to take, either we can (a) take the back road and live in a past that we can’t change, (b) continue going down the present road, dragging in the same fruitless experiences from our past, or (c) be optimistic, knowing that the road ahead is towards a promising future with God. God has already cleared the path for us. He promised us in Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” ‘declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Let’s start traveling that road with Him today by having a relationship with Him. The closer we get to Him, the more cherished we will feel, then we will be able to smell the freshly paved asphalt up ahead; thus, embracing the future that He has for us. Which road would you choose to take today? Please comment below
Blessings hit different when you stay in the lane God guided you too!!
I would take (c) the road that would lead me to a promising future with God.
if you stay on that narrow road it will be less burden and more rewarding. God knows what is ahead of you and what is behind you continue walking down that narrow road in faith.
I appreciate you all for your comments. Yes, God has a plan for all of your lives. We can't ask God to take the wheel and give him directions on where to take us. When we ask Him to take the wheel we are putting our faith and trust in Him to take us where He wants us to be. Amen 🙏
As I am naturally optimistic, road C, being optimistic, knowing that the road ahead is towards a promising future with God is my route. With that being said, the key for me to not get deflated along the way.
My past is my testimony, my present is the road I'm on an want to change. My future is what I make of it. GOD gives us choices and put it in your hands. GLORY BE TO GOD!!!! I chose
